The Höllenau and the Olendieksau rivers originate in the Schönbek Moor; the latter flows into the Brahmsee lake. This places the moor on the watershed between the Stör river system and the Wehrau river system, the latter of which now flows into the Kiel Canal and formerly flowed into the Eider river 😉...

Here's a shady spot under an oak tree for a break at the table. The view over the fields is unobstructed, and you can conveniently dispose of your trash right there.

The bridge over the Moorgraben is unspectacular. The ditch has been straightened, carries little water, and is largely overgrown.

The Borgdorfer See is particularly popular with children. They will find great opportunities to really let off steam here. There is a football pitch, a beach volleyball court and a bouncy cushion. In the water, slides, a pontoon and many water figures ensure great fun. Of course, there is also a kiosk for those who are a little hungry. Parents have a good view of their children from the small terrace. In addition, the bathing area at the Borgdorfer See is partially guarded by the DLRG. You will find the Borgdorfer See near the town of Nortorf. The crane (Grus grus), also known as the grey crane or Eurasian crane, is a member of the crane family (Gruidae). In Europe it is largely the only crane species; the demoiselle crane's range only begins in the Black Sea region. Cranes live in swamps and moorlands in large parts of northern and eastern Europe, but also in some areas of northern Asia. They eat both animal and plant food all year round. The population has increased significantly in recent decades, so the species is not endangered.

Last visited on my tour: Gut Deutsch Nienhof Tour 6 Mountain bike roller coaster I have also attached a photo of a rest area. For navigation on this trip I had to rely on the cell phone speaker because I had forgotten the cell phone and navigation holder. That was often quite difficult.

The Borgdorfer See in Borgdorf-Seedorf near Nortorf is one of the lesser-known lakes in Schleswig-Holstein and is particularly popular for its natural outdoor pool.
