Here a floodplain crosses the forest supply path. For hikers, field stones have been laid in the riverbed. Nearby is a water basin, two fallen fir trees and a huge, old metal pipe that could perhaps be recycled for a future tunnel?

It's good to know that this hut exists. It belongs to the SH State Forestry Service, but if you clean up after yourself, you can certainly have a picnic or a child's birthday party here. Especially when the weather is bad.

In 1884, this spring was discovered by chance during drilling for oil. It is an artesian spring and bubbles out of the earth all by itself. An artesian well was built that supplied the neighboring community of Remmels with water between 1913 and 1972. This water was unfiltered and contained iron. This meant that the clothes never really turned white when washed. This is why the women were called the "grey mice of Remmels". For this reason, Remmels was connected to the public drinking water network in the 1970s. The spring was rediscovered in 2000. A cooperation was formed with the Hohenwesteder Werkstätten, who leased the property and took over the planning. In 2014, the spring was named Kimberquelle. The water is bottled by people with assistance needs. It is called Gut2.

A terribly destroyed forest with dead straight gravel paths and many trees along the way that were felled years ago and never picked up. Every 30 m there is a skid path for the harvester, which finishes off the damaged forest. Avoid at all costs, you'll only get depressed here!
