After a fantastic breakfast, we started well-rested from our hotel. First, we oriented ourselves towards the town center of Glottertal to see the St. Blasius Church, a neo-Gothic basilica from 1893 to 1895 with a 60-meter-high tower. Past the cemetery, we went into the vineyards.

On our drive to the Black Forest, we planned an overnight stop in Schriesheim, a village on the Baden Wine Route. Here there are remnants of (Schwer-) slate mining from the early 19th century, which we explored on our hike. The slate gorge in the massive rock positively surprised and impressed us.

Über die Nordbahntrasse durch den Schwelmer Karst
Zum Glück hat die Hitze etwas nachgelassen und so sind Reiner und ich mal wieder nach Schwelm gefahren und über Gevelsberg Berge zurück. Frühstück gab's in der Bäckerei Dahlmann im Industriegebiet Porschestrasse 😋.
