About Andreas aus Paderborn

Bleibt gesund!

... in the beginning it is still very pleasant to drive, a light breeze around your nose, just wonderfully pleasant in the forest, but in the open prairie ????
It got hot again pretty quickly, the rain tonight was a relief, not only for humans, no, nature also needed cooling. In any case, it was still something nice to move outside.
Wish you a nice Sunday ;-)

... at the end of the workday turned a whole tiny lap, watched the young swans study on the Pader / Padersee and stopped for a latte macchiato with work colleagues, chatted a bit and then back home via the Talle lakes, it got drawn, Wind came up, but the rain wasn't rain, 2 minutes dribbled and that was it again. No matter, the main thing is to move again. In this sense...

Today with a few, but many cyclists, there were a good 300 there, the inner city ring seized and thus demonstrated for more climate protection # Verkehrswendejetzt. There were four starting points distributed in Paderborn, from where it went in a star shape to Maspernplatz and the big demo round there at 5 to 12.00.This morning I made my way to Neuhaus Castle with my trailer (the crowd does it), where there was also a starting point. From there, to my horror, I didn't cross the road to Paderborn, but through the Pader-Auen landscape on the Pader-Stein-Weg. Probably the initiators there simply had too much "shit jack", because there are many cyclists who do not know § 27 of the StVO and unfortunately it was lost in the crowd at the start of the journey.
I would guess roughly 30 people, but it could have been more.
But as I said before, I don't understand why we went to Maspernplatz via bike paths.
Arrived at Maspernplatz, there was already a large gathering of bicycles, there was a bit of chat before, after a brief announcement, the police escorted with 3 or 4 vehicles and a number of bicycle policemen to the inner city ring. It was very impressive, the first cyclists passed the western gate in the direction of Liboriberg and the last ones rolled over the Neuhauser gate. I would also like to have such a mass at a CriticalMass.
As I said, it went on over the Gierswall and Busdorfwall over the Detmolder Tor before turning right into the Bischhofsteich and Rolandsweg to the Paderwiesen, where there was a final rally.
My conclusion. it was very impressive to ride in the crowd, but there was just not enough "look", I would have liked a bigger round, sometimes through the city center, past the town hall, or the bigger streets like Detmolder-, Neuhäuser- or the Bahnhofstrasse etc., so that the pedestrians and cyclists as well as the car landscape finally understand that we are also traffic!Nevertheless, I would have liked the participation of the Paderborn local association of the ADFC, after all we all not only want a "better climate" and "healthier life", but we also want "more safety in road traffic"Maybe it works the next time.In this sense, have a nice weekend and stay healthy, I'll get on my bike again and do another lap. ;-)

Today again, after yesterday evening, turned a little round! My goodness, what is a people on the move today, as if everything would have to go back to their home tomorrow. Anyway, I've done my lap, that's enough, my knee doesn't give me any pleasure, on the contrary, it worries me more and more😐.
Have a nice Sunday and stay healthy

... wish you a nice whit monday!Today I went up on my bike again, actually wanted to go to Rietberg, but then turned around and started against the wind. It was good that I fully charged my battery yesterday, so I could cycle home in sport mode and give my knee some rest.
Now first cool with an ice pack.
I wish you a good start into the new week. We read 😉

First of all, Happy Pentecost to you!
Quickly this morning for the corona test so that the beer garden is also fun. Then get on your bike through the Durbeketal to the R1 bike path and then on to Höxter. As expected, the weather was nice for me, no rain but a mix of sun and clouds, the temperatures were also perfect. Now go home by train. It was a nice day, let's see what is possible tomorrow. Anyway, I'll have to clean the bike today.
In this sense, stay healthy ;-)

Small lap, cycling test with knee brace, unfortunately not really successful!
But no matter, I still have a little time, the numbers due to Corona have already gone down well, but it is still too early for a nationwide uniform relaxation. But I hope I can go on tour at the end of June at the beginning of July. As long as the hostels are all open again. Until then, I'll use the time to keep my health fit and of course heal my injuries.
Have a nice Sunday and stay safe, we read each other.

Today on Mother's Day I drove a lap without my mother, of course, stopped by my mother and wished her all the best. Then back on the bike through the forest near the fish ponds towards Padersee and on to Neuhaus Castle. Made another detour to visit a work colleague, drank a latte, then we went along the Alme towards Lippesee. Past the Thunhof, I cycled left towards the weir and kept left there. Past the Paderborn sewage treatment plant via Bentfeld and the Roman camp in Anreppen, through Kirchboke over the Lippe to Delbrück.
Paused briefly in Delbrück to see whether I am going to Rietberg or in the direction of Steinhorster Basin. The latter was my way. It's a shame that the catering is still closed, because the Cafe Brinkmeyer is the best place for a long break. Near the Steinhorster basin.
Well then, up the dam and to the left of the Ems dam and along the circular path at the end not left in the direction of Verl, nor right in the direction of Espeln, but followed the forest path on a beautiful single trail, then continued on the Furlbach, is one Alternative route of the Paderborn Land Route:It then went to Hövelhof on Kaunizer Strasse. Then there was the headwind and the tour was really fun :-(. At first I was in eco mode, since my left knee didn't like it that much, I switched to sport mode because the pain did From Hövelhof then along Paderborner Strasse (the idea of cycling over Salvatorstrasse was also there) through Sennelager and continued home.If the wind hadn't blown so hard it would have been a nice tour, but what the heck, it was a nice tour too.
It was a really nice Sunday, as far as the weather is concerned, it's a shame that the good weather phase is short-lived.
Stay healthy, we read each other ;-)
