Stubenhocker-Nachwuchs 🪺
Von Aufbruchstimmung ist bei den beiden Jungstörchen in den Bommeraner Ruhrauen weiterhin wenig zu spüren. Während der NAWIT fleißige Flattersprünge und den baldigen ersten Ausflug ankündigt, zeigten sich die beiden heute eher nach dem Motto: Warum fliegen, wenn das Hotel Mama so gemütlich ist? 😄

I waited at the nest for a long time, but there was no sign of flight exercises or any other preparations for independence. The two young storks sat very calmly - almost demonstratively relaxed - in the nest and watched their parents, who were foraging for food not far away in the Ruhrauen.

The Wildwald is located in Arnsberg-Voßwinkel, in the middle of the partly primeval Lüerwald forest. The area covers around 680 hectares

With the RUHR.TOPCARD, we took the MS Sorpesee from Langscheid to Amecke for free. Afterwards, we walked around the forebay including the "Airlebnisweg" and then back to Langscheid via the Sorpehöhenweg.
