With 3 other Meet5 learners from Herdecke, I went out by bike after work today. A bit of fresh air, a bit of exercise and some chatting 😁. So we went through the beautiful Ruhrauen to Wengern. A great summer evening - optimally used 😀

Today I joined a guided day hike offered by Meet5 from Wikinger (Wikinger To Go) 😄. The south of Essen is incredibly green, the tour led us predominantly along shady forest paths with some beautiful views of the Baldeneysee 👀. After the tour, the very nice group almost entirely went to the Pizzeria

I had long since arranged with my 3 Meet5 girls for today's Neandertal tour. And it was great: a wonderful green tour through forest, field and meadows, pleasant to walk and the heat was also bearable☀️🥾🥾🥾🥾. Very cute were at the beginning of the tour the different gnome houses 🧑🎄. Shortly before

Before everyday life starts again tomorrow, I rode my bike to the Münsterland today. I am totally enthusiastic about this very varied tour. The route offered everything: forest paths, asphalted paths through the fields, residential areas, roadside cycle paths. And there was a lot to see: the water castle

Before our journey home, we did a very lively city tour in Koblenz today to learn a little more about the city😄. It was worth it. As a crowning finale, we treated ourselves to an ice cream sundae from eGeLoSIa, the best ice cream parlor in Koblenz (egelosia.de) 🍨🍨😋

Our last stage from Cochem to Koblenz was a bit disappointing, as it led along a busy road for 2/3 of the way 😳. However, the last section, parallel to the vineyards, was quite idyllic.
We also liked the core of Kobern-Gondorf, where we took our lunch break. And Winningen, shortly before Koblenz, surprised

This morning we left Traben-Trarbach - a town on the Moselle that we actually expected a little more from. Between the Moselle, vineyards and smaller villages, the Moselle Cycle Path often led us alongside roads.
A former school colleague had given me the tip to definitely visit Beilstein, the Sleeping

The Moselle Cycle Path led us further to Traben-Trabach today. Vineyards and pretty Moselle towns were our companions.
After half the time, we arrived in Bernkastel-Kues. You absolutely must visit this little town: magnificent half-timbered houses and a beautiful market square invite you to linger. We

Today we continued from Trier to Piesport. All in all, there was nothing spectacular - we cycled steadily along the Moselradweg and enjoyed the views of the vineyards 🍇🍇. We took a break in a nice beer garden in Schweich. In between, there was an opportunity to refresh ourselves at a water-treading

Today we continued from Mettlach to Trier. The first section of the tour was particularly beautiful: along a high-level path with views of the Saar🤩.
We took a break in Saarburg, a cute town with nice cafés, geraniums, the Saarburg waterfall right in the middle of town, and a castle. With a great view

This year, @Hennydo1 and I are out and about on our bikes again - this time along the Saar, Moselle, and Rhine. We started today in Saarbrücken. We rode along the Saar Cycle Path to Mettlach - passing the Völklingen Ironworks (a truly gigantic industrial monument), Saarlouis, and Merzig. It was hot

On the best hiking weather, I went for an after-work round today with @Moni Wildi and @Martin Outdoor🚶♂️🚶♀️🚲⚒️ - inspired by a favorite round of @Sabine aus NRW. Thank you very much, Sabine, that was really a great tip 😄.
Beautiful forest paths alternated with cornfields - and beautiful views again

Today I went hiking with @Ulrike 🦊 and @Edith again after a long time. Since we absolutely wanted to see each other again, we set off despite the heat and chose a tour close to home. The loop was quite unspectacular: a few shady forest paths, residential areas, road, asphalt, and a section of the Gl

Today I was out with YG again - it was nice to see familiar faces again 😀. @Axel 62 had prepared a wonderful tour in Ennepetal, which was sporty, but thankfully led through the forest for the most part, so the heat was bearable. Thank you very much for that. We all honestly deserved the ice cream at the end of the tour 😋🍨

Today I was out and about again with @Nudel, @Tanja and @Sabine - we finally did the loop in Silschede that we planned a year ago, with a stop at Café Kännchen. We walked mostly through the forest, on beautiful single trails, and the last third was also a bit adventurous in parts... Many thanks to @Jingle Bells
