We started today at the community center in Hallgarten near Eltville am Rhein.
Through vineyards and forest we went to the highest elevation in the Rheingau...where there was also a lot of snow and ice 🤣to our delight☃️🍚.
This made walking a bit difficult....but the joy was great.
On our lap there was the Mapper Schanze gate attachment and actually the Hallgartener Zange, which unfortunately is in a climbing park that was closed today🤷🏻♀️.
Great, exhausting round with lots of fun😊🤗👍

Finally Monday again 😊 and off we went in Hallgarten am Rhein.
A piece through the beautiful village and then off to the Buggel, the highest in the Rheingau was our goal today.. Cold hostel 619 nN. We passed the Hallgartener Zange, but unfortunately everything was locked there. In the meantime we had already arrived in deep snow and it was very difficult to walk, but sooo beautiful, we didn't expect that on the Rhine.
The first mini snowman was built and we discovered an igloo.
There was delicious tomato soup with small pizza pieces and coffee with healthy brownies 😋.
Then, thank God, a lot of downhill, with better visibility it would have been fantastic in some places.
It was a wonderful, exhausting and fun day again today 🤗🤗🤗

Today we had a wonderful day on the Neckar.
It all started at the Sinnespfad hiking car park in Neckargemünd.
First to the Reichenstein ruins.
Then over the Neckar and towards Neckarsteinach where there are 4 castles ... 2 of which can only be seen from the outside ...
On the way there is the picturesque swallow's nest (Schadeck Castle), followed by the Hinterburg, the Mittelburg and the Vorderburg.
Our way then led us through the village and over the sluice ... to the Dilsberg, where the great fortress can be seen ... a small, beautiful, picturesque place.
From there we went back to Nechargemünd via the Neckarsteig.
We had fantastic weather and were very enthusiastic about the many castles and the wild Elsenz at the moment.
A great day😍😊🤗

We started today in Neckarsgemünd and before we went to the other side of the Neckar, we looked around the Reichenstein castle ruins.
Now we went over the Neckar and immediately past many castles, Schadeck Castle (the swallow's nest), Hinterburg, Mittelburg and Vorderburg, unfortunately not all of them. Along the city wall and a piece through the town, down to the Neckar. At the barrage / lock we were able to switch to the other side and make our way up to the Dilsberg castle fortress. Here we were very impressed by this great place on the mountain surrounded by its fortress wall. From now on we could follow the Neckarsteig until we were back in Neckargemünd.
It was such a beautiful day again and the sun even laughed for us for a few hours.

We parked at the Weiherhof and then went to Bolanden to the monastery Hane, further through the village until we were at the edge of the forest. Then we went in the direction of Dannenfels, past the Schliess and a pond, here we have seen countless cormorants. Further along the Gerbach, which at the moment looks more like a river, back over the fields to Bolanden.
Up to the remains of the castle over a number of steps, unfortunately there isn't much left, but the view from up there is so beautiful. Back to the Weiherhof and to the car, wonderful 🌞 and the cool air ... that was nice.

Oh, that was a nice day.
Rain was predicted, but we still went to the Nohener Nahe loop and Tanja still had the idea of doing the geocach🥰. The loop is amazing, geocaching was so fun and the rain only came for the last 3 km, so the butterflies could finally fly 🦋🦋🦋.
We took a break at a beautiful place on the Nahe Island, with great food ... ... we had bad luck with the wine cabinet ... there was nothing more.
I can only recommend this tour👍👍👍

Monday girls on a secret mission. For the Nohener-Nahe loop, Tanja and a "Poschd-Bocks" have chosen. With little hints we shook our way along the path. Unfortunately, the vinotheque was already looted. It was so funny. We had a rest at the Nahe-Insel rest stop, where we had a fine pasta salad and delicious cakes. The prospects would probably be even better on a clear day, but it was great that way. Manu first gave a forest xylophone concert, then another swing. And our butterfly umbrellas were also used with color change. Such a great round with my favorite girls😍🤗
