It rained heavily until about 9 am, then it became dry and very windy.
We didn't care, as it was Museum Day.
About 25 km to the British Motor Museum. In the main hall, it was about the history of the automobile from 1896 to 1996. It's only about the British automotive industry here.
In its kind, the largest

We're slowly getting hungry.
Since the next town - Broadway - is only a few km away from Snowshill Manor, we're heading there. The boss didn't want to go out for a big meal today, she was hungry for burgers.
Broadway differs from the other small Cotswolds towns in that the houses, although also made of

A beautiful drive from Hidcote Manor to Snowshill Manor. A good 7 km on a single track road, with passing places 👍.
The house with a small garden is located in a valley. Sheep graze around.
The house also belongs to the National Trust. The oldest part of the house dates from the 16th century. The house

Today, as it's supposed to stay dry, gardens are on the agenda. A good 25 km to Hidcote Manor Garden. The garden belongs to the National Trust. It is an Arts & Crafts style garden, created in 1907 by the American Lawrence Waterbury Johnston and has belonged to the NT since 1948.

Arrived at the hotel, we immediately set off for a small city tour. Since we have been to Stratford several times before, just a short round. Boss is tired.
Had forgotten to stop the previous tour, so the 1st part is missing here. Photos placed at the front.
Good 1 km along the canal. You come out at the

After the visit to Gloucester, we chose a place in the Cotswolds that we had forgotten on our last visit. We have already been to Bourton-on-the-water, etc. several times, so today we went to Stow-on-the-wold.
Like all towns in the Cotswolds, the houses are made of Limestone, a yellowish-brown sandstone

Since it was supposed to rain all day today, more or less, we decided on city tours.
Gardens are for tomorrow.
By car to Gloucester. Here again 2 churches, in which no more services are held. Heritage information center and one as a shop.
From the parking garage first to a cafe, here there was delicious

The day started well. Checking out at the parking garage didn't work, no service staff, nobody reachable on the helpline (still before 9 am). People in the parking garage couldn't help either. After a good 30 minutes, someone came who knew what they were doing. Great. So late on the tour to Stratford

Got lucky. During our break at the hotel, it poured down heavily. When we started, the sun came out again.
Along the road for a short while and into the park. A short climb uphill and down to the Pantiles.
The Pantiles is a Georgian colonnade in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. Formerly

This morning it was time for the shopping round, as the boss wanted to go to the Pharmacy and Marks & Spencer. Got everything.
From the hotel first through Calverley Grounds – a small park. Today was the dismantling day from the weekend. It was bustling, with many stalls.
After the park and Cricket Field

Since there are only disabled parking spaces at the hotel, we park 5 minutes away in the parking garage. The boss still wanted water, so I quickly went to the car. She always has her water with her 🫣
Food at the hotel was mixed. Mine - Fish & Chips - was great. The boss's food was not to her taste

After Scotney Castle on the way to the hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells, we stopped at an abbey ruin.
english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/bayham-old-abbey
It reminds us a little of Tintern Abbey in Wales. Here, only the ruin stands in the meadow. No cafe or anything like that, just a book shop. Readings

Got up at 3:30 and left at 04:30. The motorway in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France was good to drive on. No traffic jam in the construction site around Brussels either. Took 2 small breaks and arrived at LeShuttle around 09:30. Check-in went great - continued straight away with the train

The boss packs suitcases and I take a short hike to the River Avon and into town.
The first 600 meters from the hotel along the road, then 300 meters on a narrow path through green settlements, through a park until a settlement.
Here you meet Anne Hathaway‘s Cottage - Museum - She was Shakespeare‘s
