The Comazzo area was well defended in the past because the Adda river formed a large marshy part called Lake Gerundo. The few hills in the area are all castled. The one in Comazzo today is a castle for ceremonies, but it retains all the charm of ancient times. A small village with church, courtyards, some farmhouses and castles attached. Worth a stop to take photos. The history of the place is ancient. The ancient fortress preserves the various architectural systems that have characterized its structure over the centuries: the square tower, the massive medieval walls and the later systems, dating back to 1400.

Secondary roads with little traffic, asphalt in almost always good conditions. Beware of crossroads with the state roads.
