Beautiful path along the canal.

There's a narrow canal passage here, so the view from here is quite beautiful. Tip: Step onto the canal promenade at the top – it's even more impressive there.

At least it beats the incredibly ugly church tower of St. Aluminium in Rendsburg. Otherwise, it's not a particularly special building. However, the lawn in front of it is usually free of dog excrement.

As part of the Rendsburg parish of St. Marien, Schacht-Audorf was given its own parish in 1925. The distance from the mother church and the separation by the canal made the desire for independence grow. In 1929, a chapel of its own was built. After the population had risen sharply, the chapel was converted into St. John's Church in 1953. Schacht-Audorf has been an independent parish since 1960.
