A picnic area with two benches and a table is located directly on the renaturalized Schwale River. A trail leads to the confluence of the Stör and Schwale Rivers. And if you cross the bridge, you'll reach the ramparts of the former Wittorp Castle.

Located right on the beautiful Ochsenweg trail, in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein, is the lovely Café Altes Rauchhaus in Padenstedt. The cakes are all incredibly delicious, and the staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The café exudes a very cozy atmosphere and has a lovely outdoor terrace.

Located directly on the Schwale near the archaeological ring wall and the confluence of Stör and Schwale and between the districts of Wittorf/Faldera.

The Stör and Schwale rivers run between the Wittorf/Falderapark districts. Here, after 16 km, the Schwale flows into the Stör, which in turn flows later (after 87 km) below Glückstadt into the Elbe! A trail leads to the mouth of the estuary either on the Schwale side (picnic area by the bridge) or on the Stör side (from the railway underpass over the Stör). The Stör and Schwale rivers are still very much in their original state there!

The Church of St. Maria-St. Vicelin is a three-aisled Catholic parish church built in 1893 in the neo-Romanesque style and dedicated to the two saints

Built in 1611 by Lornsen Brandt and thus the oldest house in Padenstedt. It survived all the fires in the village. In 1886 the farm burned down due to arson and was rebuilt by the Göttsche family. They were only able to manage it until 1890, then they had to give it up for financial reasons and sell it. Since then it has been owned by the Struve family. In 1984 it was re-roofed and placed under monument protection. In 2009 Helga & Jens Struve renovated the building. It serves as their home and they opened a café in it.
