The trail is stunning, not only when the fruit is in bloom or ripening – it offers hikers a beautiful view to the east over the lake, which is also the wintering grounds of the rare Bewick's swans.

Where the Bewick's swans are guests in winter, you can sunbathe and splash around on the fine sandy beach of the lake in summer.
