The bridge over the Moorgraben is unspectacular. The ditch has been straightened, carries little water, and is largely overgrown.

The violet chanterelle looks like it came from an enchanted forest: its surreal midnight blue color and velvety soft. It's also quite rare. While it's edible, it tastes more like forest floor. Better to look at it than cook it!

The Schönbek Moor (also known as the Great Moor) forms the border between Loop (Holstein) and Schönbek. The raised bog was previously used, as was common practice, for peat mining. The area was not a municipality until 1888 and was incorporated into Dätgen, Loop and Schönbek in the same year. The Höllenau and the Olendieksau rivers, which flow into the Brahmsee, have their source in the Schönbek Moor. The crane (Grus grus), also known as the grey crane or Eurasian crane, is a member of the crane family (Gruidae). In Europe it is largely the only crane species; the demoiselle crane's range only begins in the Black Sea region. Cranes live in swamps and moorlands in large parts of northern and eastern Europe, but also in some areas of northern Asia. They eat both animal and plant food all year round. The population has increased significantly in recent decades, so the species is not endangered.

Last visited on my tour: Gut Deutsch Nienhof Tour 6 Mountain bike roller coaster I have also attached a photo of a rest area. For navigation on this trip I had to rely on the cell phone speaker because I had forgotten the cell phone and navigation holder. That was often quite difficult.
