During the last renovation in 2004, two time capsules were found in the tower.
"Two large copper capsules were found in the perforated tower ball, the so-called tower button. When they were opened on May 5, 2004 in the presence of many Altranft residents, interesting things came to light. In addition to the original document from 1795, the copy of a lost memorandum from 1826 and the tower button document from 1901, 24 neatly wrapped coins were found."
