How it works
#1
Paste a komoot tour URL or upload a GPX file from your device. The tool automatically extracts the route and shows stats.
#2
High-resolution satellite tiles are fetched and cached. The route is resampled and camera headings are smoothed for cinematic motion.
#3
Preview the flyover with full playback controls, then export as a WebM video file ready to share.
Yes, completely free — no account, no API keys, no hidden fees. Everything runs directly in your browser. We don't store your data or limit the number of videos you can create.
Upload any standard .gpx file from your GPS device, Garmin, Strava, komoot, or any other app that exports GPX. The tool parses track points, elevation data, and timestamps automatically.
The tool fetches high-resolution satellite imagery and stitches it into a smooth cinematic animation that follows your route. It uses advanced heading-smoothing algorithms for natural camera movement, shows your progress on a live minimap, and renders a real-time elevation profile beneath the video.
Yes! While previewing or pausing the flyover, you can open Google Street View at the exact point on the route. This lets you virtually walk or ride through your route using real street-level photography — perfect for scouting a route before you go.
Videos export as WebM at 1280×720 (HD) resolution with high bitrate. Processing time depends on route length — a typical 50 km route takes 1–2 minutes for tile loading and a similar time for export. You can adjust playback speed from 1x to 8x.
All processing happens 100% locally in your browser. Your GPX file is never uploaded to any server. The only external requests are satellite tile fetches from Esri's public World Imagery service. Your route data stays completely private.
The flyover includes: satellite imagery background, a colored trail showing your progress, a real-time minimap with start/end markers, distance and elevation HUD overlays, an animated elevation profile, and komoot branding. All rendered at cinematic quality.
