There are countless stork nests in the Oderbruch. A visit to the museum is therefore highly recommended to learn more about the “bird”. Also very interesting is the 150-year-old stork tower on the site, a monument to the brick industry.

The stork tower in Rathsdorf/Altgaul is an approximately 150-year-old, unique monument to the brick industry. It is the last of the once widespread "Märkische brick kilns". For as long as anyone can remember, a pair of storks have nested on the top. With the help of the Michael Otto Foundation, NABU renovated the stork tower in the early 1990s and set up a museum for the white stork inside the monument.
