Alt Rosenthal every two hours from Ostkreuz, duration 53 minutes
Wilderness on the first part of the route, Wermelinsee, paths accessible with climbing.
Then mixed forest with galloping wild boar on the run, a black stork.
Beautiful path on the field / edge of the forest, gently rolling open landscape, mown fields, traces of sand, flowers / herb field with chamomile, borage
Trebnitz, beautiful streets, friendly, a castle with tree features and contemporary signs. Relaxed. Interesting church, an inn / cafe as it should look like zur-ostbahn.de
Trebnitz - Obersdorf: through fields between trees, the farmer is working on the left, the cranes are screaming on the right. Fruit on the paths.
      Luck!
Obersdorf- Feldsteinkirche, a free dog runs through the streets without people, cats sit around like that, a lake that you have to look for, surprisingly large ..
Way to Münchehofe: sheep in different colors. Come to the fence and stand up as if for a class photo, full of expectation.
The first kilometer next to the road, turnoff into the forest, surprisingly green and beautiful, in front of Münchehofe the edge of the forest with fields, crossing farmers with large implements in tow
Münchehofe - spacious with a pond in the middle, too tidy.
Way to BHF Müncheberg over the edge of NSG Klobichsee: cottage settlement, B-license plate, then with ascent and beautiful view, village shop. Train. Home. Broken.
Coming back to the first section Alt Rosenthal - Trebnitz and around - planned because of its incredible beauty.

Approach Kagel from the catch lock by bus every 2 hours, duration approx. 20 min.
The route between Kagel and Kienbaum: light pine forest.
Initially with many old gnarled oaks along the way
Kienbaum: small bridge over the Löcknitz, old tractor, natural monument of white elm
      baumkunde.de/baumregister/1050-dicke_ulme_in_kienbaum
Paved path between Kienbaum and Maxsee / Neue Mühle, nevertheless beautiful, winds through the trees.
Maxsee: the highlight of the hike, almost reminded me of the Krumme Lake in Grünau only with a large lake
Hoppegarten, small and long, quiet, behind the village, cranes pull in the sky, wavy.
After crossing the street pine trees without end, even with a slope.
Suddenly open meadows - the nature reserve Schlangenthin. Nice .
Horse paddock, lake, then it would have been 2-3 km on a wooded route to the train station.
Unfortunately, I then decided on the route towards the city center. The way there, and also the way back to the station next to the thoroughfare, was strenuous. A really really nice tour - except for the detour in Müncheberg.
The train leaves Müncheberg every hour and takes just 40 minutes to Lichtenberg.
I will go this way again.
      To the elm:
The thick elm stands protected between the church and day care center. Between faith and future. Perhaps that is the secret of their success for a long life. For your stability.
Across the street, an old woman is standing on the last step in front of the front door, talking to a neighbor. She wears a blue and red smock. A dying piece of clothing that used to be a must for housewives over 40 in their wardrobe.
I estimate them to be 80 - 90 years old. The elm is estimated, not by me, to be 250-400 years old.
When the old stair step woman is born in Kienbaum, she has been with the white elm for a lifetime.
The elm was a witness when she mastered the first steps outside the house, like going to school, then the war came and then everything was different. Perhaps the woman has photos of her wedding in front of the tree, then a life in the GDR, the celebrations outside, the fall of the wall, which the elm only took notice of because the traffic changed. The house in front of the tree was orphaned, but it still offered shelter from strong winds.
The neighbor is only a supporting actress in the life of the thick elm, important are wind, rain, sun, soil, insects and everything that counted in the centuries before. The nature.
There have only been immense changes here in the last few years, it was getting hotter and hotter and the rain stopped. Also for the elm.
If the tree is 250 years old, born in 1770, the youngest estimated age, then she has already seen many ancestors of the stair woman, provided the family is long-established.
What an idea: born in 1770!

This tour is highly recommended, I found it with Frank Meyer, I only changed the start of the hike. It starts in Grüneberg, a 47-minute drive from Berlin-Ostkreuz. Turn right at the train station, then through the village, past the church, turn opposite the street Grüner Weg and straight through the forest until you come to a street, here turn a few meters to the right and left. Now the way is not far to the Großer Lankesee.
Please don't go to Grüneberg like the map shows, because I like to turn off somewhere to see how it is like there.
Frank Meyer's tour can be found here:
      komoot.de/tour/51430508?ref=wtd
The Liebenberg palace complex is really worth seeing, the lakes below are simply beautiful, especially in the nature reserve everything looked like in a magical forest. I didn't meet anyone on the way, the forests consisted of old character trees such as beech, yew, maple and of course pine.
I'll definitely go this route again, I liked it so much.
