The Fliederplatz was established in 1898 and was thus south of the former Mühlburger station of the former Maxaubahn. In the meantime the children's and youth meeting Mühlburg is accommodated in the station building.

Hiking

The first Mühlburg station was built as part of the Maxau Railway, which opened on August 4, 1862, at what is now Fliederplatz. Along the Karlsruhe-Maxau route, intermediate stops were set up at the Mühlburger Tor, in Mühlburg and Knielingen, where station buildings were also built between 1862 and 1864. While the Mühlburger Tor station and the Knieling station were only responsible for passenger traffic, the Mühlburger station was a station for people and goods.
