One of the numerous Bachs who lived at Junkersand is called Johann Ambrosius. Since he could not find a job in Erfurt, he went to Eisenach as a court musician in 1671, but always hoped to return. However, his request to be released from the service of Duke Johann Wilhelm was rejected, which is of immense importance for the history of music.
On March 21, 1685, a son was born to Johann Ambrosius Bach, whose name was Johann Sebastian - not in Erfurt, but in Eisenach.
