Final day in Rome. Back to the Vatican – up to the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica, into the basilica itself, and down to the catacombs. Then on foot past Castel Sant’Angelo, across Piazza Navona, by the Pantheon, up to the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument. One last look at the Colosseum, on to Santa Maria Maggiore, one last drink in a rooftop bar, back to the hotel, and finally via Piazza della Repubblica to the main station – heading for the airport. Perfect ending to an unforgettable trip 🌅🍹

Day three in Rome. Took the bus to Piazza di Porta San Paolo, then on to Parco Testaccio – unfortunately closed. After that to Parco di San Alessio – unbelievable how many people line up just to take a photo through a keyhole. Then on foot across the Circus Maximus, through the Trastevere district, and on to the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi. Quick stop at the Pantheon, then on to the Vatican Museums – so much to see. Unfortunately, no photos were allowed in the Sistine Chapel. Afterwards into St. Peter’s Basilica, then some food in a lovely restaurant, and later back to the hotel by metro. Sorry in advance for all the photos – and Komoot mixed them up a bit unfortunately – but there was just so much to see. 📸✨
