The Holztrift am Breitenbach consists of a sequence of several structures. In contrast to other Trift brooks in the Palatinate Forest, the Triftwooge on the Breitenbach are all drained. Understandable traces of the earlier Holztrift can therefore be found above all in the barrier and outlet structures of the Wooge. On the other hand, the straightening of the stream caused by the drift can still be seen well in comparison to other streams in the Palatinate Forest. This also includes well-preserved base ramps that reflect the comparatively steep gradient of the flowing water.
