Today Juliet went on a relaxed tour far away from crowds on lonely paths with a starting point near the forester's house in Frechental.
Always uphill through the Hunzelbachtal to the Birkenkopf to find a ruin, which can be found at Komoot as a small ruin sign. We even found the ruins ... what kind of buildings were this time? Probably an old hunting lodge or something like that….
Now it was time to make a detour to the Schachtal. A neglected path in to an earlier hut, of which only the foundations could be seen.

Today we went with Juliet on our rock tour, which we had planned for so long, but the weather did not want to play along properly in order to be able to enjoy the view of the rock. The wait was worth it, because the Bärenbrunnerhof was also open again and so there was no picnic today, but delicious food from the kitchen and fresh Riesling spritzer! 👍😊
We started at the parking lot in front of the paddle pond and climbed up to the Burghalderfesen. The first test of courage awaited us in order to get to the very top. A gap about one meter wide, in between it went far down. Impossible for one step ...
Leap?! ... after weighing things up, we all took courage. 😛
We continued to Lanzenfahrter Felsen, also known from the Burghalder hike in snow in winter.
Ladder up and enjoy the view.
Now it went downhill and on the philosopher's proverb trail to the Dumpler Brünnel.

Today I started from the Königsmühle in the Kaltenbrunnertal and ran over the middle level through the beautiful Finstertal. I love the meadows there. Past various ponds, which were now well filled again, it went steadily uphill to the Totenkopfhütte. From there it went on along beautiful paths past Oberscheid-Platz to the Hellerhütte. After Powerriegel😅 and water, the beautiful Emil-Ohler-path went down the valley again!
I had planned a thunderstorm and already included the two huts as shelter, but there were only a few clouds for a short time and then the beautiful evening sun again, so I did another lap of honor and a few more on the meadows and on the lake in direct sun Took photos.
The mood was so nice and the sun felt so good ...
I followed a narrow beaten path to the other side of the valley and my stick umbrella, which I had used as a hiking stick until then, was used as a machete against the nettles! Went perfectly 👌
Now it was on the way back through the Kaltenbrunnertal always along the stream back to the Königsmühle!

Biking again today, after my bike looked like hell yesterday, I thought to myself, it will stay that way and today I'll ride again, so it's worth it. But since I drove on the street for the last 5 minutes of my tour and was completely showered, it is almost cleaner than yesterday ... 😂
I started at the Stall parking lot and then it went straight up to the Horterkopf and on towards KL! The first small shower came on the yellow bars, otherwise I would have been able to enjoy the trail even more. At the Wolfskaut, a little further down I tried to find the Wolfsbrunnen a second attempt ... and successfully! 😊👍 The last time I saw a beautiful valley from above, which I wanted to drive this time ...
the way downhill got worse, then it was way ... trees across, water, jungle ... too late to turn around, I would not have brought the bike up!
So go through the middle and keep calm ... 🙄
After several trees, crossing a stream, a high seat in sight ...
Then I made it ... a perfect path and a wonderful valley as I had seen it from above!
Along the forest cycle path, we went back towards the stable to drive on the other side towards Waldleiningen. Above the Stüterloch it was again quite uphill to the sand court and then to the Seewoog with a short, demanding trail. Then the surprise ... the beautiful carpenter's fountain in a small side valley from the Seewoog!
Now it started to rain and I drove up to the parking lot as quickly as possible with Boost!
In such moments you know what you have on your e-bike! 😄👍

      Biking again today!
The starting point was at the Holläenderklotz below the Luipold Tower. First it went up to the Hortenkopf and then downhill to the source of the Merzalbe, the Christel fountain ... great, so much water!
Always along the Merzalbe through the beautiful valley and then on towards Leimen. If I was lucky ... the thunderstorm was just beginning, then I was at the PWV Leimen refuge!
There I made my rest in the dry.
After the casting it went to the Fritz-Claus monument and then over wide meadows up and back to the Merzalbe and then to Merzalben, to the Graefenstein hut.
Now I drove a wonderful trail downhill to the Wieslauterquelle and into the Zieglertal ... once downhill hiking trail, uphill bike path ... very relaxed!
From there I switched to Wartenbach! Everywhere signs of rafting .. again and again slides, stretching the water like small waterfalls rushing down.
I followed the valley to the Gamsklause and back again a little so that I could still drive a reasonable way uphill to the parking lot. Finally, once more enjoyment ... enjoy the view of the Luipold Tower in the beautiful evening sun! 🤗😍

Today finally on the bike again! 👍
I started from Fischbach and drove over beautiful meadows and fields along to Altenhof, across the street and then up a beautiful trail up to the height and then it started ... hill hunting! 😂
... backwards starting at hill 6-1!
A total of 15 knight stones on one tour ... my record!
But I have to say that I already had 10 of them, but it was so fun to ski down all of them one after the other, sometimes also to run, as the Schanzensteine are often not directly on the path and the Buchelbrunnen also has to be reached on foot at the end. That's why my pace is a little slower today!
One of my favorite places are the meadows at the former Langenthalerhof, embedded in the middle of the forest, the Sieben-Brunnen and of course the Glasbachtal is always so beautiful and relaxed to drive from above towards Frankenstein!
The obligatory photo on the Diemerstein and then discovered an old tunnel!
Finally, the delicacy! ... a trail dream through the heath and back to Fischbach!
That was fun again today! 😄

Today I met Juliet after work. We were both interested in what it looks like behind today's Kurpfalzpark towards Lambertskreuz and what there is to discover.
Juliet had previously looked at an old hiking map on which the Kurpfalzpark does not yet exist ... I compared it to a newer map with park markings!
It started from the parking lot at the junction to Gimmeldingen in the upper Silbertal and a wonderful uphill path. We were both surprised at how well the paths were, although none of them have any markings and we also really liked the forest there. Then we came to the hunting lodge, which can be found on the hiking map and looks well-kept and is probably used more often.
We continued along the far end of the Kurpfalzpark and up to the Lambertskreuz.
Finally we could enjoy our picnic there and Juliet's delicious salad! A spritzer was definitely missing for me, an iced coffee for Juliet😅!
Well strengthened, it went on the way back via Kaisergärtchen and a beautiful path in the evening sun to the Rotsteiger Kopf. There is a sandstone house with a terrace from which you have to have a great view. We'd both like to sit there in the evening sun ...
A steep path then went down to the Kurpfalzpark parking lot and the last part to the car.
We both enjoyed the tour very much, especially the peace and quiet there!

After work straight to the lake!
If I had had bathing suits with me, I would have jumped in straight away ... wonderful!
The open beach bar gives you that holiday feeling! 🏖😄

Today I was out early to avoid the expected traffic and the streets were really completely empty!
I started in St. Johann to first walk through the vineyards near Frankweiler to look for 2 knight stones.
It was nice near the Geilweilerhof, partly on the almond path.
So ... now off to the forest 🌳😊!
Pass the Frankweiler quarry to the Ringelsberghütte and enjoy the beautiful panorama from the terrace!
We continued over the Kirschbaumhütte to the Landauer Hütte and then uphill past the paraglider jump point to the Orensfelsen. The view everywhere is gigantic today!
Now there was a nice trail downhill to the Nfh Kiesbuckel, one of my favorite huts and then the direct path that looks like a mountain path towards the parking lot. Since I was still interested in the side valley on the right side, I turned and ran the valley on one side of the stream, back on the other ... but not necessarily a highlight ... 😒 had promised me more.
A nice tour with many viewpoints and views in all directions!

Today we can speak of a panoramic pleasure tour! ☺️
Almost on the whole route I had a wonderful view of the Rhine valley, Neustadt, Gimmeldingen and Haardt and the view was great today!
I was also spoiled by the sun, but I would be there in midsummer🥵.
I am consciously not going to the Weinbiet ... there is too much going on, but it was really pleasantly quiet on the tour.
The climbing garden was very busy and I watched a bit.
Then it went to the Ritterstein Heidenburg and on to Haardt.
After a Kneipp cure, we went past the sports field to the pavilion on Sonnenweg and the Dr. Welsch terraces.
We continued through Neustadt-Haardt past the wall below the castle with wonderfully blooming irises and to the Wolf‘schen - and Clemmschen plants with large rhododendrons that are in full bloom.
The way back was now directly along the edge of the hair to Gimmeldingen.
