Tips
The Mittelburg (1165) was heavily rebuilt several times. During the Renaissance, the medieval castle complex was transformed into a Heidelberg-style castle. 1820 were added in the course of the usual romanticization neo-Gothic elements.
The castle is privately owned by the barons of Warsberg-Dorth and is currently inhabited by them. The castle is not accessible, however, the public roads run directly in front of the castle wall, so you still get a nice impression of the well-preserved complex.translated by
