    The nun's well has been known since the Middle Ages and was renewed in 1772 and 1970. In 1969, the remains of two wooden wells were discovered near the fountain and explored by the Kurpfälzisches Museum Heidelberg. The older wood well was looted around 130 AD, the younger probably around 1200. The Roman well was rebuilt true to the original.

    The "Kiwwel" (bucket) at the Römerbrunnen was made by a citizen of Wiesenbach who was already out and about in the forest in the 1940s (conversation with this elderly man on February 13th, 2021).
