We decided to do a tour on our doorstep again and after dark rain clouds at the start there were blue skies and Indian summer fed up.

Overcome your weaker self and keep moving was the motto today, it was beautiful 😁

At the Hohenzollernblick we enjoyed the view for the first time (as far as the cloudy sky allowed). In Unterlengenhardt there was also a distant view of the Nagoldtal. This is where the controversial Tsar's daughter Anastasia used to live. Today there are many institutions of the Anthroposophical Society here. Paracelsus Hospital, Pedagogical Institute, Burghalde or alternative agriculture. We ran on tight serpentines through a dense forest with bizarre sandstones to Liebenzell Castle. There is currently no restaurant here. The place next to the castle is like a construction site. Further down we could enjoy a great view of Bad Liebenzell. Here was our goal. The tour was fun 🥳

Today we started with drizzling rain and then had 30 minutes of heavy rain. That's it and you can live with that. We first walked to Langenbrand via the Römerweg. They are said to have been here over 2000 years ago and a Roman road led past Schömberg to the east. We walked through beautiful pine forests to Salmbach. After the rain, the forest had a special smell, and at the end the sun was already shining again.

The weather was kind to us today too. First we went to the Charlottenhöhe. The main buildings were built in 1927 and used to be a pulmonary hospital. Now the place has become a lost place and you don't know exactly whether the morbid charm is fascinating or whether you should be angry about the vandalism. In any case, we enjoyed the wonderful forest and the view on the way back via Langenbrand.

We walked to Grunbach along the Eulenbach, a racetrack for model cars and the Jägerhof. The weather was great and we didn't get wet. The view of the Kapfenhardter and Nagold valleys was particularly beautiful. Via Salmbach and Langenbrand we got back to Schömberg - it was nice! (Mobile version)

I started at the Kurhaus Schömberg and walked the Salmbachweg to Schwarzenberg via the former wave pool, children's clinic, sewage treatment plant, ski slope and Steinbuckelhütte. There I looked at the stone circle. I went on to Oberlengenhardt, where I really liked the baking house. Then I was quickly back at the Kurhaus. (Mobile version)

From the Katzenfurt station I walked via Marxer and Grundmühle to Greifenstein Castle. The clouds of mist mixed with colorful foliage and created a mysterious autumn mood. The distant view suffered as a result, but you can't have everything. Through an autumn forest and the Waldhof / Elgershausen lung clinic I came to the Greifenthaler Forsthaus. In Greifenthal itself, I came across Huguenotweg at the German / French memorial and was then right at the starting point at Katzenfurt Bf.

With a last look at the Strahlenburg we said goodbye to Schriesheim today and walked through vineyards to the ruins of the Schauenburg. We continued through mixed forest with wonderful views of the Three Oak Fountain, our resting place. On the way we collected chestnuts and reached Dossenheimer Bf Süd via Hellenbach and Hillenbach memorial stone through a beautiful allotment garden.

Fortunately, I didn't get wet. A little tour to wake up and reflect. Lazy sunday morning. 😀
