Rarely does one have the opportunity to visit four castles in such a small space. Whether a short walk or as part of a larger hike, the Four Castle Trail is definitely worth a visit.

Vorderburg and Mittelburg are both privately owned are not accessible.
The Vorderburg is fenced wide and you get really only the keep from the distance to face. At the Mittelburg run the public paths along the outer walls and you also get a good impression of the beautifully preserved grounds from the outside.

The two ruins Hinterburg and Schwalbennest are freely accessible and offer great views in Neackartal.
