The listed Electoral Saxon post mile post in Bad Belzig is one of the post mile posts erected in the Electorate of Saxony in the first half of the 18th century by the Land and Border Commissioner Adam Friedrich Zürner on behalf of Elector Frederick Augustus I of Saxony. The post was erected in 1725 at its current location, at the traffic junction outside the town, in the then-independent village of Sandberg. Several traffic accidents occurred here. The post was knocked over by a horse-drawn carriage in 1926 and by a truck in 1933. In 1967, the post was completely restored by master stonemason Scholz and sculptor Geist. On this occasion, the post was relocated below Eisenhardt Castle, a move that has since been reversed. The coat of arms is a replica, as the original disappeared after 1815. The original writing block (shaft) and the original pedestal are in the museum in the castle
