The idea
The mystical wooden figure comes from a legend that is said to have taken place at Eisenhardt Castle. A knight who loved the daughter of the castle captain unspeakably had thrown himself to death from the castle because of the pain of love. As a result, the beloved damsel passed out, developed a nervous fever and died. Centuries later, her ghost appeared to a shoemaker as a white woman in the pale moonlight, which soon became the talk of the town. The artist made this white woman on the spot and from a tree stump there.
