Bad Belzig became a state-approved climatic health resort in 1995, and the city has been a recognized spa since 2009. The center of the city center is the market square with its town hall. The stately building burned down in 1972 and was completely demolished. The reconstruction, based on the historical specifications, took place between 1988 and 1991. Bad Belzig is a member of the working group "Cities with historic town centers" of the state of Brandenburg. Only cities whose historical city plan is clearly legible and whose historic city center is being systematically renewed and strengthened can become members.
The tourist information is located at Marktplatz 1, you can find the opening times here: belzig.com.

I had to visit here after bikepacking across Germany. It's a quaint town with a lively market and has enough shops if you need specific supplies.

Bad Belzig (Belzig until 2010) was first mentioned in a document in 997 as Belizi.
