Johann Friedrich Judeich studied forest science at the forest academy in Tharandt and economics in Leipzig from 1846 to 1848. In 1849 he became an unskilled worker at the royal Saxon forest management institute, in 1857 he entered the service of Count Rudolf von Morzin (1801-1881) as the administrator of a large forest property in the Bohemian Giant Mountains, and in 1862 he was headed the newly built forest school in Weißwasser (Bohemia) by the Bohemian Forestry School Association ), but from then on he was appointed director of the Tharandt Forest Academy in 1866 and appointed to the Secret Forestry Council in 1876 and to the Secret Forestry Council in 1878. Judeich was a long-time member of the Railway Council of the Royal Directorate General of the Saxon State Railways. In 1892 he became a member of the Leopoldina.
