Heinrichs Eck is a lookout point in the Tharandt forest and offers a wonderful view of the valley. The stone platform of the Heinrichs Eck viewpoint invites hikers to take a break and enjoy the view. The way to the lookout point requires a good level of fitness, as it is a bit steep in places.

Heinrich Cotta, the founder of the Forest Botanical Garden, gave this viewpoint his name and considered it the most beautiful in the region. His grave is near the viewpoint, surrounded by 80 oak trees that were planted by his students for his 80th birthday. The stone platform invites you to linger and enjoy the view.
