Hiking Highlight (Segment)
In the Somsdorfer Klamm you will find almost untouched nature. The trail in the lonely, shady gorge leads over stairs and exposed areas on the rock face over sometimes more, sometimes less well secured wooden footbridges. When wet, be careful.
More experienced climbers can go even further to the Devil's Pulpit, from here you have a look into the depths of the Rabenauer Grund.

I've been to the Devil's Pulpit many times. But the most strenuous is the rock staircase from the gorge up to the entrance. But you also have to take the stairs if you want to go to Somsdorf.
Recommendation: From Somsdorf via the "Sun Temple" down to Leitenweg, which goes on the hillside over the wild Weißeritz to Freital-Hainsberg.
The Somsdorfer Klamm also connects well with the sky ladder. The entrance is at the former tunnel of the narrow-gauge railway. From the exit of the Himmelsleiter, a narrow path leads up to the slope of the Rabenauer Grund to the Somsdorfer Klamm. Careful, ticks!
BTW, I am sorry that a few years ago the wooden planks in the wall of the gorge were replaced by the ugly iron bridges.

Hiking in Rabenauer Grund ... Real? Yes, of course. Anyone who has not climbed the Teufelskanzel on the chain does not know the whole Rabenauer reason. The built-in after-flood fences are indeed better to commit than the old, but they had something balncieren on damp wood.

Beautiful hidden small landscape formation by the way; well suited for family with children for the first exploration of natural klettrigen ways ... ;-)

The Somsdorfer Klamm is a small, beautiful, steep section, which is secured with chains to hold on to. it is advisable to walk the gorge from the Rabenauer Grund and only with sure-footedness and for children it is not recommended but otherwise it is a great little adventure.

Beautiful hiking trail off the main path, unfortunately often overcrowded, so that at the key point there can be discussions about priority.
