Seit 1977 ist der in einem Tagebaurestloch des ausgekohlten Grubenfeldes Gotteshülfe entstandene Otto-Maigler-See einer der größeren Seen der Ville. Die 10,7 km lange Otto-Maigler-Runde („O“) verläuft überwiegend entlang des Ufers und durch den See umgebenden rekultivierten Wald. Im Bereich des Klosters Burbach ist ein kleines Fleckchen Altwald übrig geblieben.
