The showpiece among Mosbach's half-timbered houses is the Palm House. It was built by the Schragmüllers, a respected and wealthy family of civil servants in the Electorate of the Palatinate's Mosbach district.

It was completed in 1610. The full splendor of the late Renaissance is evident in its ornate facade with its wooden beams decorated with carvings and paintings.

Three half-timbered upper floors and a three-story bay window are on a stone console.
