Algunder Waalweg - Dorf Tirol
Der Algunder Waalweg zählt zu den schönsten Panoramawegen Südtirols und verbindet die Töll mit Gratsch oberhalb von Meran. Entlang historischer Bewässerungskanäle eröffnen sich weite Blicke über das Etschtal, besonders eindrucksvoll zur Apfelblüte im Frühjahr. Vom Parkplatz „Algunder Waalweg“ im Töller Graben, an der Zufahrtsstraße nach Algund und Oberplars, ostwärts durch den gut gekennzeichneten Beginn des Waalweges mit Holztor und Überkopfbeschriftung. Kurz neben der Straße am Waldrand entlang, nach der Straßenquerung durch Obstwiesen und entlang des Waals mit dem plätschernden Bächlein nach Oberplars. Vorbei am Restaurant Leiter am Waal und bald darauf durch einen lauschigen, urwaldähnlichen Laubwald mit bizarren Felsformationen. Unterhalb des Vellauer Sesselliftes hindurch zu den freien Flächen beim Café Konrad. Weiter wechselnd durch Wald und offene Bereiche mit herrlichen Tiefblicken auf Algund und Mühlbach. Einmal über eine Brücke bis zum Ende des Bewässerungskanals bei der Hängebrücke, wo der Weg in die Straße von Gratsch nach Dorf Tirol einmündet.
