The Old Town Hall is one of the most important late Renaissance residential buildings in Southern Germany. It was built in 1617/1618 on behalf of the influential Murg skipper and timber merchant Johann Jakob Kast by the Heidelberg court builder Johann Schoch. The building surprises with its spacious and tasteful interior design. After the end of the Thirty Years' War, the building served as the town hall until 1936. Today, it offers a representative setting for cultural events and for wedding couples who wish for a ceremony in a stylish ambience.
