At the Illertkapelle is a parking lot. The chapel is located on the small road between Loffenau and Lautenbach and very close to Lautenbach.

Hiking

In the winter of 1834 Lautenbach was afflicted with a strange illness, which particularly offended young men. Since the doctors were at a loss, the citizens questioned the priests and it was decided to carry a Madonna figure from the church to the hill. Legend has it that the mysterious disease was defeated the following year. So that she does not flare up again, this solemn procession takes place annually since then on Maria Visitation, on 2 July.
