This is where the inner-German border between Burggrub and Neuhaus-Schierschnitz ran until November 24, 1989 near Burggrub on the former death strip. This is where a border crossroads was created, which was celebrated for the first time on September 5, 1992, one day before the inauguration of the border and peace chapel near Burggrub, as part of an international youth meeting involving young people from 28 countries.
