In 2016, there was already a near-breeding case on the artificial nest at the Webbekomsbroek visitor center. In 2020, a group of 13 storks plastered in the grasslands of the valley for a long time.
With the arrival of 2 new poles, 2 young storks were born in 2021 for the first time in more than a century.
