There were several loops provided and we chose two of them. The first took us to Westerlo and the Grote Nete. Return to Bergom

Walking club De Kleitrappers from Terhagen has been around for 50 years and organized its Drie Rivierentocht. The walk took us from Terhagen to Rumst and back. The hiking club 'de Textieltrekkers' from Vichte had mapped out a number of beautiful hiking routes from Gijzelbrechtegem (Anzegem). We also walked one of them and discovered all sorts of paths between Gijzelbrechtegem, Elsegem and Petegem-aan-de-Schelde. A pleasant region.

Today it was a quiet walk under a radiant sun. Hiking club De lustige Wandelaars from Merchtem had mapped out the routes. We walked along quiet roads and various country lanes through the fields between Merchtem and Opwijk. The part through the Puttenbeek valley and the finish in the Lijsterbespark were the nicest.
