Northeast of Wirsberg is located on the slope of the Kosertals the rock castle of Adlersteins. It consists of phyllites. The circular walk KU12 (Golden Falk way) of the Franconian Forest Association leads past the Geotop.

Massive tree felling has been done here, which makes the view a little easier again. The Adlerstein is a point on the hike of the Frankenwald Steigla. This hike is highly recommended.
