This wonderful section leads from Marktschorgast (Goldbergsee) to Wirsberg,

(begins or ends near the star chef Herrmann's Romantik Posthotel, if you are hungry),

The forest is well-known and very popular, a lot of walkers and hikers but also cyclists are here during the season (holidays), the cyclists / or bikers can then drive a little more slowly and considerately and can enjoy this beautiful valley.

The sun's rays graze the treetops and come only discreetly onto the forest path along the Schorgast; this results in wonderful clear and fresh air. The stream meanders close to the edge of the path and then it stretches again on a small meadow with a clearing, a bridge leads over the Schorgast and a bench invites you to take a break, next to it there is a signpost with maps and information on sights.

Through Wirsberg and then on the butterfly path towards Himmelkron completes the beautiful route...
