Beautiful plant for the pachyderms: 4 elephants and 2 hippos. In the fall of 2018, a new outdoor complex will be completed.

I always like to visit the pachyderms in the Zoologischer Stadtgarten Karlsruhe. It's just fascinating to watch these animals.Unfortunately, the Asian elephant cow Rani died on February 23, 2019. She was Germany's oldest elephant and was proud 63 years old. That is very, very sad. :(

The retirement home for pachyderms. The outdoor area can also be seen well from the bridge over the city garden.

It is entertaining to watch the pachyderms. Even a peacock presents itself in the pachyderm enclosure.
