The foundation of the old pavilion from 1899 is still preserved. The history of the creation and the reconstruction with renovation makes the hut a special resting place. "Rest" is the descriptive keyword. We thought it was wonderful to just sit there for a while.

"... The Agnesruhe had the New York German-American Henry Feder built in 1899, in the city anniversary year of 300 years of Freudenstadt, in memory of his wife. She loved to stay in the Black Forest spa town during his lifetime.
The beautiful wooden pavilion was demolished in 1924 because it was in disrepair. As a replacement, the beautification association had a simple wooden hut built on the old sandstone base. ... "
