Freudenstadt Town Hall

The town hall with tower was built in 1953. The tower can be visited during opening hours.
The key is available from the Citizens' Service against a deposit.

The Freudenstadt town hall is located in the north-east corner of the market square. After being destroyed in World War II, it was rebuilt in 1954 under the architect Ludwig Schweizer. The 43 m high town hall tower marks the building as a testament to civic self-government. From above you have a wonderful view of the market square and the mill-board-like layout of the town. In addition to the administrative offices of the town administration, the upper floor houses the wood-paneled council chamber, the front of which is decorated with portraits of the Freudenstadt mayors.
The tower can be climbed during the town hall's opening hours; the key can be borrowed from the Citizens' Service against a deposit.
