God's Acre of the Moravian Church, Herrnhut

This is in my view a real attraction that you do not often find. A graveyard of the Moravian Church, created in 1730, with about 6,000 tombstones. And all the tombstones are lying and the graves all look the same. This documents the equality of the people in this community. Also interesting are the worldwide scattered birthplaces of the people buried here. Of course, after such a long time the writing on some stones is not readable.

A special place with a special, lively peace and quiet. Even though the deceased rest here, the place does not seem dead.
