Count von Zinzendorf's work, the Moravian community, has survived his life to this day and is respected and respected throughout the world. The Protestant Moravian Church has its headquarters in Herrnhut in Upper Lusatia, Saxony. On June 17, 1722, migrants from Bohemia and Moravia gathered there to renew the religious community of the "Bohemian Brethren", which had been persecuted in their homeland. The nature of Zinzendorf - a man who had learned to value tolerance and religious freedom through his upbringing and his life path and who had practiced it himself - was decisive for this work. The count came from an old Lower Austrian noble family that had converted to the Protestant faith in the 16th century. When the Habsburg lands were re-Catholicized, the Zinzendorfs moved to Saxony. They quickly gained a foothold and embarked on military and diplomatic careers.
