Embark on a journey of discovery into the interior of a large Herrnhut star. Did you know that the Herrnhut star, which was created over 160 years ago in the bosom of the Moravian Church, is considered the origin of all Christmas stars? At the beginning of the 19th century, the first star made of paper and cardboard shone in the boarding school rooms of the Moravian Church. It was created by a teacher in a maths class to give a better understanding of geometry. In the show workshop, you can learn more about the traditional craft and, of course, you can buy stars of all different sizes and shapes yourself. From the end of November, the factory invites you to the Herrnhut Wichtelmarkt. The small but fine Christmas market combines arts and crafts with sweet treats and mulled wine.
