Best Hikes to Oberoderwitzer Spitzberg Summit

Tips

  • Giant boulder via ferrata: It starts off very difficult - on the long traverse there is a smooth D-section to climb directly above the ground. You can take a short rest on a ledge (bottom left is the emergency box; on the right there is a traverse to the Apollo butterfly via ferrata). From the ledge you climb up a corner, a small belly is the upper key point.
Apollo butterfly: The short, smooth entry is the key point, in the middle section it continues in steps and you climb out to the right of the giant boulder on the plateau in front of the two small summit rocks.
