Actually, I wanted to take a few more steps before the closed meeting, but was "caught" and then we wasted the time. Nevertheless, I don't want to withhold the photos of the island of the senses from you.

After almost 2 weeks of abstinence again along the O-See and Pethauer pond and cycled on through the Westpark to the bakery.
Good progress has been made on the two major construction sites (new dental practice and Fraunhofer Institute).
Today I climbed the earth pyramid to get a better overview of the fair at the O-See and to have a better view.
An exhibition on the films Karl Valentin, whose mother is from Zittau, can be seen on the Zittauer Markt, as well as a flea market today.
      To everyone a nice weekend.

From 1928-1930 the doctor Erich Rabe and the architect Adolf Rading fought with the authorities to be allowed to build this house in the style of classical modernism in Leipzig.
After approval was granted, it was built and built in 1931 as the family's Wihnhaus with practice rooms on the ground floor and completed with works of art by Oskar Schlemmer.
The house is really a total work of art. Nothing is accidental and when it is a skylight in a partition to get daylight into an interior space.
Ceiling-high built-in cupboards and drawers that can be opened both in the kitchen and in the dining area. Play of colors on ceilings, walls and floors that I wouldn't trust myself, but which result in a wonderful harmony.
The daughter, Dr. Gabriele Rabe was able to keep the house, including the furniture, largely in the original during the GDR era and ran the family doctor's practice there until 1994.

Today we decided on a guided tour through the old town of Leipzig and we haven't regretted it.
The city guide, Torsten Plathe, was very competent and knew a lot about Leipzig (his job). Interesting, entertaining and recommended for imitation.
It is interesting that almost the entire city center (approx. 0.5 square kilometers) is criss-crossed by passages, so you can take a shortcut or stroll and shop more extensively.
If someone wants to follow the round, I have recorded them separately.

Because the rolls were so delicious, I had to do another bakery session today.
After a short detour to the KONSUM, went on to the Karl-Heine-Canal.
At the canal I looked for the Plagwitz migrant beekeeping and found it. The honey from there is delicious.
There is also a canoe and boat rental.
We continued past the Kirow works with the ingenious canteen (Niemeyer-Kugel) and again over the spinning mill premises.

We wanted to go to the KarLi again - everything was closed in spring, and to the Husky outdoor shop at Peterssteinweg 15. We pushed the LarLi up and down, which (maybe) made it a lot easier.
A detour to the former VEB Feinkost is also recommended. Several people have bought the site and are protecting it from demolition. While the old is largely preserved, renovations are taking place and what is already finished is quite impressive. The other areas are also used and when it is used as a cinema. Also has its charm.

Of course yesterday not only the tube was defective, but also the saddlebag with tools and replacement tube. At first I thought I forgot to take it out of the car and put it back on in Leipzig ... but it wasn't there. Probably someone needed it more urgently ...
Without a hose and tools, the repair is of course very difficult and so I had to hand it in at the workshop and now have a rental bike until tomorrow. Hence the back and forth on Zschochersche Strasse.
The breakfast in the Café Kater was freshly prepared, very tasty and more than plentiful. The 4 different spreads were homemade, but I didn't keep what was in there. It tasted good, that should be enough as an explanation.
Or better: try it yourself when you are in Leipzig.

Today we have chosen the AGRA-Park, the Markkleeberger See with the canoe park as a destination.
Without hectic and stress ... cycling for pleasure.
The way led us to a large extent over developed bike paths and through parks.
The AGRA Park is very nicely laid out.
For the lake tour, we opted for the lower bank path to be closer to the water. Have a nice round.
In the KanuPark we could watch others fight with the waves and it seems to be fun.
      The many photos prove it.
On the way back I had a creeping flat foot, but I came back the last 10 km with 2x inflation.
Almost a must is a detour to the potato lady, very generous and delicious supper.
